Post Holiday Blues

I don't normally have a problem when our summer holiday is over. The prospect of returning is never one that fills me with dread or sadness...until yesterday,

We have just had our annual two week summer holiday and as in the past two years we took it at Piynar Villa Hotel in Turkey.

Piynar is a little piece of heaven on earth we discovered two years ago and this was our third visit.

We had a fabulous time. Lots of lazing in the sun by our own pool, trips out, great people - some of whom we knew from previous years and some great new friends. On Friday we threw a pool party in our villa. It was Richard's idea and it turned out to be a fun filled brilliant afternoon. The staff at Piynar catered for us to an amazingly excellent degree. We had some silly pool games and all in all it was a true holiday highlight.

I think that all the planning for that made me not think that the next day we would be travelling home. Saturday dawned as all other days bright clear and hot and we had the morning in the pool before heading for the airpot. Yet as I did another exhausting bout of lilo practice, I felt unutterably sad. The thought of all the events that have to come and go before we might get back to Piynar filled me with dread. Even Christmas morning flashed across my eyes as something that had to be endured before we could sample this piece of elysium once more.

As soon as we were on our way home, the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach seemed to clear.

It flooded back this morning as Rich played through all the holiday photos. the happiest of memories with a great bunch of people.

So to any of them who may be reading this - yes, that's you Janice!- every best wish and thank you for being part of two such fun filled weeks. thanks for all the laughter and the fun and we send all our good wishes to you.
