I’m not a patient person. I never have been. Waiting is not my forte. If I want something, I want it now. At this time of year, it can be an infuriating trait. My partner has often heard me express needs and wants in the months leading up to Christmas and made a mental note how exciting it would be for me to find that item in my Christmas stocking. His disappointed irritation is quite understandable when he finds that two or three days later, the aforementioned object of desire arrives from Amazon. I just couldn’t wait for it. One quality that would stand all of us in good stead at the moment is patience.
